  • Description

All except three or so of the Royal Statues erected in the old days at various points in the Fort area of Bombay have been removed to the Albert Museum at Victoria Gardens. Lines up in a row, in an obsture spot behind the Museum, these statues certainly present the appearance of a graveyard. Some of them have been disfigured or deformed by hooligans with either a head chopped off or a nose clipped away. Recently, it is said a sword was taken away from one of the statues. Yet, to a chance visitor, these statues maintain the same dignity and display the quality of their workmanship.
