    Once a year a wide range of attractive products which are made by disabled ex-servicemen through sixteen organisations is displayed, by permission of the Council of the Forces Help Society and Lord Roberts Workshops, at 122 Brompton Road, London, SW3. (opposite Harrods), for sale.

    This exhibition and sale or work affords an excellent opportunity for early Christmas shopping, and the items for sale include occasional (contemporary) furniture; basket work of every description, from trugs to chairs and cribs, lacquered bed trays and book-ends, lacquered metal wastebins, Christmas crackers, delightful cuddly toys, hand-knitted sweaters, hand-embroidered cloths, handwoven tweeds and carpeting, as well as leather handbags, belts and novelties.

    The sixteen organisations represented at this Exhibition are: British Legion Disabled Mens Industries: Church Army Disabled Ex-servicemens Industries: Disabled Soldiers Embroidery Industry; Forces Help Society and Lord Roberts Workshops: Union of Polish War Disabled Ex-servicemen: St John and Red Cross Ex-Services War Disabled Help Dept: War Pensioners Homecrafts Service: Ex-Services Mental Health Welfare Society: St Dunstans: Naval Home Industry: British Legion Poppy Factory: Star and Garter Home: Cambrian Factory: Horsham Weavers: Painted Fabrics Ltd. and British Legion Industries.

    All these organisations work towards a common end - the welfare and occupation of severely disabled ex-servicemen. It is through these organisations, dependent entirely on voluntary support, that today, so many ex-servicemen are given hope and purpose.

    This exhibition is visited every year by members of the British Royal Family, and H.M. the Queen, H.M. Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret, the Duchess of Kent and Princess Alexandra, Princess Royal and the Duchess of Gloucester will honour the sale of work by visiting and doing some shopping there, this week.
