SYNOPSIS: The kick-off in an Olympic Qualifying soccer match at Accra on Sunday - with the home side, Ghana playing right to left against Cameroun. Three weeks earlier Ghana's Black stars had roundly defeated Cameroun by three goals to Nil,and at the Accra stadium the home side quickly gained the initiative.

    A free kick to Ghana.....

Storming downfield - it's Ghana on attack. However Cameroun's defence - in the shape of goalkeeper Essohbe - is up to the challenge.

The beginning of the second half - and still no score. Cameroun kicks off. For the first few minutes of the second spell the pattern of the first half was repeated with Ghana making a concerted effort to break through their opponent's defence.

A corner to Ghana...and a chance to score. But the ball goes over the goal.

The turning point in the match as Cameroun goes on attack with goal-keeper Essel Mensah under pressure.

Ghana again an attack - trying desperately for a winning goal which would assure them of a trip to Munich.

However, it was not to be - and when a final drive by Ghana failed to penetrate Cameroun's defence the match ended in a goal-less draw - adding special significance to a match next Sunday in which Ghana plays Senegal in the last game of this qualifying series.
