    The Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), Mr Emile van Lennep, arrived in Japan on October 19 for what officials described as a wide-ranging exchange of views with Japanese government officials. Mr. van Lennep spent the first day of his four-day visit, which is being made at the invitation of the Japanese government, meeting Finance Minister Michio Watanabe and later, the Foreign Minister Yoshio Sakarauchi. They discussed the world economic and political problems and the workings of the OECD.
