    CONTINUING THEIR TRAINING IN DEFENSIVE MEASURES AGAINST GROUND STRAFING AND BOMBING BY JET AIRCRAFT, THE GUNNERS TOOK THEIR SPECIAL PURPOSE BATTERY OF EIGHT BOFORS 40MM ANTI-AIRCRAFT INTO THE GLEN OF IMAAL NOVEMBER 1 FOR A PRACTICE SESSION.

    UNDER THE COMMAND OF COMMANDANT DENIS BURKE, ACTING C.O. OF THE 1ST ANTI AIRCRAFT REGIMENT, THE SOLDIERS PUT THE WEAPONS THROUGH THEIR VERY EFFECTIVE PACES. THE GUNS FIRE 120 ROUNDS OF 2LB SHELLS PER MINUTE AND HAVE AN EFFECTIVE BATTLE RANGE OVERLAND OF 13,000 YARDS.
