    HM Submarine 'Trespasser', last of the Triton Class, sailed from Rosyth Dockyards, Scotland, Jan 14, for the first time under her Canadian Commander, Lt. S.G. Tomlinson. She is part of the 5th. Submarine Squadron.

    Other Canadians aboard include the Navigation Officer, Lt. C. Charon, Quebec, and five ratings. The Royal Canadian Navy has yet to form a Submarine force. With the advent of Atomic-powered submarines the submarine force in new type vessels or start with conventional oil-powered craft. For the moment potential submariners are receiving training in the Royal and Australian Navies.

    There are three RN submarines on loan to Canada forming the RN 6th. Submarine Squadron, based at Halifax, Canada, viewed by Royal Navy and RCM personnel.
