Visitors ... twenty-five of them ... for Bill Gray, member of the Maori Rugby Union football team now in Sydney. Gray, whose leg was broken in a match last Saturday, is a sad man these days, until his team-mates file into the Mater Misericordiae Hospital to cheer him up with a Maori greeting song.
And now it's time to go but Bill Gray's visitors make a point of not singing the Maori's Farewell. They say it leaves him too depressed ... this Maori rugby star.
