    GENERAL DELACOMBE, WHO WON HIMSELF AND BRITAIN GREAT SYMPATHY DURING HIS THREE-YEAR STAY IN BERLIN, IS RETIRING FROM THE BRITISH ARMY TO LECTURE ON BERLIN IN 19 CANADIAN CITIES. HERR BRANDT SPOKE APPRECIATIVELY OF GENERAL DELACOMBE'S COOPERATION, AND SAID THREE THINGS ABOVE ALL CHARACTERIZED THE PARTING COMMANDANT: A SINCERE SENSE OF DUTY, GREAT UNDERSTANDING AND THE READINESS TO HELP. IN THE NAME OF OFFICIALS AND BERLINERS, HE VOICED REGRET TO SEE THE GENERAL AND HIS FAMILY DEPART.
