Background: A table tennis team from the People's Republic of China on tour of the United States took time off from playing ping pong this week to visit pleasure parks including the giant aquarium in Los Angeles, California, and the famed Disneyland fantasy park nearby.

For the team, on a playing tour of Canada, the United States and Mexico, it was pure pleasure. But sport was not forgotten -- one player managed to have a game of ping pong with a friendly porpoise in the aquarium.

And in Disneyland, where a world of fantasy fun was created by the late film-maker and cartoonist Walt Disney, the Chinese players did everything tourists normally do -- including shake hands with "Mickey Mouse" ride the amusement machines, and take photographs for the family album.
