    ECONOMIC MINISTERS FROM THE TWENTY-ONE COUNTRIES BELONGING TO THE ORGANISATION FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT (O.E.C.D.) MET TODAY (THURSDAY) IN PARIS. THE MEETING IS BEING HELD AT THE CHATEAU DE LA MUETTE, THE ORGANISATION'S HEADQUARTERS.

    THE COUNTRIES REPRESENTED AT THE MEETING ARE AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, CANADA, DENMARK, FRANCE, WEST GERMANY, GREECE, ICELAND, IRELAND, ITALY, JAPAN, LUXEMBOURG, NETHERLANDS, NORWAY, PORTUGAL, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TURKEY, UNITED KINGDOM, UNITED STATES, AND YUGOSLAVIA.

    THE TWO DAY MEETING IS TO DISCUSS THE PRESENT ECONOMIC POSITION AND FUTURE PROSPECTS OF MEMBER COUNTRIES. AT THE OPENING SESSION, DELEGATES HEARD PLEAS TO MAINTAIN EXPANSION WITHOUT INFLATION. MR. THORKIL KRISTENSEN, THE DANISH SECRETARY-GENERAL OF THE O.E.C.D. TOLD THE MINISTERS THAT ANTI-INFLATION POLICIES HAD SLOWED DOWN GROWTH IN ITALY, JAPAN, AND TO SOME EXTENT FRANCE, BUT ALL THREE NOW SHOWED POSITIVE SIGNS OF IMPROVEMENT.

    DR. JOSEPH LUNS THE DUTCH FOREIGN MINISTER, TOLD NEWSMEN THAT THE MEETING WOULD BE CONCERNED WITH GROWTH AND INTERNAL STABILITY.
