Background: The leader of the French Socialist Party, Francois Mitterand, arrived in Athens from Paris this evening for a two-day visit of Greece as the guest of well-known composer Mikis Theodorakis. Though this visit is considered a private one, it won't exclude meetings with leading cadres of the greek political life, including party leaders, etc. aiming at a possible strengthening and cooperation of the Socialist Forces of the south with the Socialist Parties of the North -- as outlined in the January 1976 Paris Socialist meeting. Mitterand will have talks with the President of the panhellenic Socialist Movement Andreas Papandreou and the president of the United Democratic Left Elias Eliou.
