    A group of the Belgian Congo's top political leaders arrived in Brussels, December 3, for preparatory talks on the future of their country, recently the scene of a succession of serious riots.

    Among the Congo delegates were M. Kasavubu (Abako) and N. Kalonji (M.N.C.) who recently made a joint declaration that the aim of their united front was immediate and unconditional independence. The delegates were greeted in Brussels by M. Scheyven, a member of the Belgian Government.

    They represent the Congo's three chief political movements - Abako (Association des Bakongo), P.S.A. (parti solidaire africain) and M.N.C. (movement national congolais.

    A round table conference on the Congo's future will be held in January and the present talks - proposed by the Minister of the Congo and Ruanda Urundi, M. De Schryver, - are being held in preparation for next year's meeting.
