    Rex Rosser, 11 has built up his collection of cards, depicting baseball players, to more than 20,000.

    He started collection the cards five years ago. Now it is a family operation just to move the cards from the cupboard where they are kept.

    Many of the cards are more than 60 years old.

    Rex recently heard of a local baseball team, the Oklahoma city 89ers, having trouble getting publicity.

    He suggested they issue cards giving details and a picture of each team member.

    The club took his advice, and the move was so successful, it decided to issue a special edition of the cards, featuring the ares's foremost card collector - Rex.

    SYNOPSIS: People will collect almost anything. Here's a story on an enthusiastic young collector in Oklahoma City, U.S. ....

    "Rex Rosser traded his first baseball card when he was six years old. Now five years later he's nothing less than a pro. In fact his collection has increased to the point where it takes his entire family to help him get it out of the closet.

    "At last count the eleven-years-old had over 20,000 baseball card. Many of the baseball cards are at least six times older than he is.

    "Collecting the small cardboard plaques that feature photographs of various players and their records is an old hobby and one that is gaining new popularity.

    "So when Rex heard that a minor league team, the Oklahoma City Eighty-niners, were having trouble with their fans getting to know the players, he went to their rescue and suggested they issue cards on each team member. They took his advice and met with such success they decided to issue a very special edition recently, a baseball card that features the area's foremost baseball card collector, eleven-year-old Rex rosser. This is Linda Cavangh reporting from oklahoma City."
