The UNTSO (United Nations Truce Supervision Organization) mandate ran out at 0600 Israeli Time today without being renewed by the Security Council. The Egyptians say they don't mind ??? the area remains empty of Supervision whereas the Israeli's had hoped that some multinational supervision would take its place as the Americans had agreed in March 26th. The Americans claim that this promise of supervision will take place when the whole s inai is evacuated. Despite this misunderstanding the Israeli's went ahead with State II of the Sinai evacuation today returning to the Egyptians 600 square kilometers stretching from the Gulf of Suez to the Wadi Firan.
