    THE HIGHEST PARATROOP AWARD WENT TO BRIGADIER-GENERAL TON THAT DINH, COMMANDER OF THE SOUTH VIETNAMESE THIRD CORPS.IT WAS HIS EIGHTH JUMP FROM AN ALTITUDE OF FOUR HUNDRED METRES.

    THE AMERICAN OFFICER, BRIGADIER-GENERAL RICHARD G.STILLWELL, HEAD OF THE OPERATIONS AND TRAINING CENTRE IN SOUTH VIETNAM, TOGETHER WITH TWO OTHER AMERICAN OFFICERS MADE THEIR SIXTH JUMP, WHICH QUALIFIED THEM FOR THE PARATROOP BADGE.

    ALL THE OFFICERS WHO JUMPED LANDED ALMOST RIGHT ON THE GROUND TARGET DESPITE A GUSTY WIND.

    THE INSIGNIAS WERE PRESENTED BY LIEUTENANT GENERAL LE VAN TY, CHIEF OF THE ARMED FORCES GENERAL STAFF.
