The South African Prime Minister, Mr. John Vorster, has repeated that the South African government does not want any part of Namibia (South West Africa) in a speech to the Orange Free State National Party congress in Bloemfontein on Wednesday (8 September). Mr. Vorster also appeared to slam the door shut to the power-sharing aspirations of South Africa's black majority. His address to a predominately Afrikaner audience of 6,000 people was heavily applauded when he said "there will be no shoring of power".
