    THE DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE COMMITTEE OF THE ORGANISATION FOR ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT (OECD) TODAY (WEDNESDAY) CALLED FOR CLOSER CO-ORDINATION AMONG TO DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. THE RECOMMENDATION WAS INCLUDED MEANS MADE AVAILABLE TO POORER COUNTRIES DURING 1961 TO 1965.

    THE REPORT PUBLISHED TODAY SAID THAT AID GRANTED BY THE 16 MEMBERS OF THE OECD'S DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE COMMITTEE (DAC) REMAINED CONCENTRATED ON A LIMITED NUMBER OF COUNTRIES. THE REPORT SAID THAT THE TENDENCY MADE ALL THE MORE NECESSARY CO-ORDINATION ON THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL OF DIFFERENT AID PROGRAMMES TO ASSURE THE BEST USE OF RESOURCES.

    AID PROGRAMMES, ADDED THE REPORT, COULD NOT ALWAYS BE FOUNDED ON PURELY ECONOMIC CONSIDERATIONS. IT ALSO POINTED OUT THAT THE WORLD VOLUME OF FINANCIAL MEANS PUT AT THE DISPOSAL OF DEVELOPING COUNTRIES HAD INCREASED FROM GBP2,860 MILLION STERLING IN 1961 TO GBP3,570 MILLION STERLING IN 1965.
