Background: Dr. Abdullah al-Khodeir, Iraq's Minister of Unity, and special envoy of President Bakr of Iraq, arrived in Jordan on Sunday (7 November) for talks with King Hussein and Jordanian Ministers. Dr. Khodeir arrived in Jordan from Syria, where he met President Assad, and yesterday (Monday) left for Beirut.
After his meeting with the King yesterday it was announced that the King had agreed to the return of Iraqi troops to Jordan. Iraq sent some 12,000 troops to Jordan during the 1967 Arab-Israel war, but withdraw them later when Jordan accepted the United States peace initiative and Iraq also disagreed with Jordan over the reorganisation of the eastern front.
Our film shows Sunday's meeting between Dr. Khodeir and the Jordanian Ministers of Interior and Foreign Affairs.
