Background: India is a land of religious festivals and fairs. Throughout the year people somewhere in the country are celebrating in their own simple style.
At this time of the year when there's a full moon in the sky over the State of Bihar, more than a million people are during part in the annual Animal Fair in the city of Sonepur.
The main theme of the fair is religious, but at the same time the people who attend turn the festivities into a huge cattle sale, reported to be the biggest in India. November is harvest time and everyone is on the lookout for a bargain, especially in live stock.
Most popular buys are cows, horses and the occasional elephant.
