    CADETS FROM SIX OVERSEAS COUNTRIES WILL BE AMONG THE 83 WHO'LL BE COMMISSIONED AT A PARADE AT MONS OFFICER CADET SCHOOL, ALDERSHOT, ON FRIDAY (JUNE 9TH). THE INSPECTING OFFICER WILL BE LIEUTENANT-GENERAL SIR DAVID PEEL YATES, GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING IN CHIEF EASTERN COMMAND.

    NINETEEN OF THE CADETS WILL GO TO OVERSEAS FORCES IN KENYA, JAMAICA, NIGERIA, SAUDI ARABIA, SOUTH ARABIAN FEDERATION AND ZAMBIA.

    THE SILVER MOUNTED OFFICER'S CANE WHICH GOES TO THE MOST OUTSTANDING SENIOR UNDER OFFICER WILL BE PRESENTED TO J.C. GILL, WHO WILL GO TO THE ROYAL HORSE GUARDS (THE BLUES).

    LIEUTENANT-GENERAL PEEL YATES WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE SCHOOL COMMANDANT, BRIGADIER P.C.S. HEIDENSTAM, DURING HIS INSPECTION OF THE PARADE.

    THE REHEARSAL TODAY (TUESDAY) WAS IN WARM WEATHER BUT THE CADETS HAD TO WEAR FULL UNIFORM.
