    A warm welcome by Cretan population and Military Authorities has been reserved to the hundred British officers of the 44th Independent Parachute Brigade (TA) who arrived today by air from England at Herakleion of Crete. The group is commanded by Brigadier A. L. Deane-Frummond and accompanied by Maj-Gen. G. P. L. Weston, Director of Land/Air Warfare at the War Office and Brigadier R. C. Queree, Senior Officer of the New Zealand Liaison Staff in London, who is 1941 commanded the 2nd New Zealand Division during the operation in Crete being on the Staff of General Freyberg. The Parachute Brigade officers participate in a battlefield tour of Crete, studying the Nazi tactic of airborne invasion of the Island, paying in the meantime tribute to the British and Commonwealth Forces which defended so heroically Crete.
