TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 5: VAN GOMPEL: "I must say I'm afraid we won't see many of them very soon."

REPORTER: "What has that done to the moral of your........?"

VAN GOMPEL: "It has given us, us personally who were directly involved in it, an enormous shock. But the parents, the friends of the scholars, and everybody around here, they are also in a tremendous shock and very indignant about this act of terror by SWAPO."

REPORTER: "Certainly the school won't be able to function as normal?"

VAN GOMPEL:: "No, of course not. We have only two handfuls of pupils left, whom we have brought home. Some of them are obviously quite a bit shocked after their experience of being taken to Angola and escaped back."

REPORTER: "Do you think any of these pupils left of their own free will?"

VAN GOMPEL: "I don't think there was any. I don't think so, really. We know them quite well. We don't talk politics with them, actually, we can avoid it, there's no need for it, and they know that too. They... ....I know, I know from their own words, that they feel quite happy here."
