SCU Bassam Abou-Sharif speaks
"The Palestinian revolution will continue its revolutionary action against the Israeli enemy. The problem is there as long as the Israelis exploit my people, my land. Our action has been going on for a long time from the occupied territories itself. Our commandos do not need to infiltrate through Arab borders. They are in the occupied territories and they carry their action in an organised manner from Palestine itself. The action will continue because the problem of the Palestinian people will not be solved either by the disengagement agreement or through the Geneva conference, but will be solved only when our rights as a people are recognised by the whole world, and by the only solution that we see possible -- i.e. the establishment of a democratic society in Palestine. When we see this solution realised, then the Palestinian revolutionaries will stop the war."

Background: The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has warned Israel to expect more guerrilla attacks.
A P.F.L.P. spokesman, bassam Abou-Sharif, issued the warning at his organisation's offices in Beirut on Tuesday (2 July).
The following is a transcription of his statement.
Palestinian commando operations from Lebanon have been officially frozen since June 1972 under a verbal agreement with Lebanese authorities. But Israel has claimed that recent attacks near its northern border were carried out from Lebanon.
