Rhodesia's problems can only be settled by an all party conference of those involved in the country's civil war.
Rhodesia's problems can only be settled by an all party conference of those involved in the country's civil war. That was the view expressed by Danish Prime Minister Anker Joergensen during an official visit to neighbouring Zambia on Friday (24 November). Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda, however, was not at all hopeful of success at the proposed all party conference.
SYNOPSIS: President Kaunda gave the Danish Social Democrat leader a warm welcome at the State House, in the Zambian capital, Lusaka. Prime Minister Joergensen pledged that his country was committed to a policy of anti-racism. He said that his government favoured liberation movements in Africa because of its philosophical belief in equality and social welfare.
A team of Danish journalists accompanied Mr. Joergensen, who answered their questions.
