Visnews filmed America's latest lunar-probe four-stage rocket sitting on its launching pad at Cape Canaveral recently in readiness for a shot at the moon.

Sensitive equipment, including two geiger counters, two radios and several other items, was given a final check-over before being stowed away in the last stages which is about 15 lb in weight and 4 feet tall, gold and black with vertical grooves.

This proves, Juno 2, has a maximum speed of 24,900 mph. It can cover the quarter of million mile journey to the moon in about 33 hours.
