    THE CONGOLESE PRESIDENT WAS SEEN OFF AT ACCRA AIRPORT BY GENERAL ANKRAH. GHANA AND THE CONGO-KINSHASA ARE MEMBERS OF THE SIX NATION COMMITTEE ON NIGERIA SET UP BY THE ORGANISATION OF AFRICAN UNITY TO STUDY WAYS OF BRINGING A PEACEFUL SETTLEMENT. PRESIDENT MOBUTU SAID THAT DURING HIS FOUR DAY STAY IN GHANA HE TWICE CONSULTED NIGERIA'S MILITARY LEADER, MAJOR-GENERAL GOWON, BY TELEPHONE. HE HAS MADE IT CLEAR THAT THE CONGO WILL NOT RECOGNIZE BREAKWAY BIAFRA. GENERAL ANKRAH HAS STRESSED THAT THE SOLVING OF THE NIGERIAN PROBLEM IS FIRST AND FOREMOST THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE. BUT HE HAS ALSO STATED THAT THE O.A.U. COMMITTEE IS DETERMINED TO FIND A SOLUTION IN NIGERIA.
