    PRESIDENT JOSEPH MOBUTU, OF CONGO-KINSHASA, YESTERDAY (WEDNESDAY) SPENT SIX HOURS IN WEST BERLIN DURING THE THIRD DAY OF HIS WEEK-LONG VISIT TO WEST GERMANY. ACCOMPANIED BY HIS WIFE, THE PRESIDENT FLEW ACROSS THE 110 MILES (176 KMS) OF EAST GERMAN TERRITORY SEPARATING THE CITY FROM WEST GERMANY.

    PRESIDENT MOBUTU WAS GREETED AT WEST BERLIN'S TEMPELHOF AIRPORT BY GOVERNING MAYOR KLAUS SCHUETZ, AND OFFICIALS OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT.

    THE VISITING PARTY LEFT THE AIRPORT, AND WERE TAKEN ON A VISIT TO THE BERLIN WALL, WHERE THE PRESIDENT SAW ACTIVITY ON THE EAST GERMAN SIDE.

    THE CONGOLESE GUESTS THEN VISITED THE GERMAN INSTITUTE FOR DEVELOPING LANDS, BEFORE GOING ON TO CHARLOTTENBURG CASTLE, WHERE THE PRESIDENT SIGNED THE CITY'S GOLDEN BOOK AND TALKED BRIEFLY WITH HERR SCHUETZ ON ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL RELATIONS BETWEEN THEIR TWO COUNTRIES.

    PRESIDENT MOBUTU'S PARTY LATER LEFT BY AIR FOR HAMBURG.
