    A 54-man North Korean ??? Cross delegation entered the South today (Tuesday) to resume the full-dressed Red Cross negotiations on reunions of divided Korean opened in Pyongyang on August 30.

    The seven northern delegates, seven advisers and 20 assistants accompanied by 20 journalists crossed over the "bridge of no return" and arrived at the armistice border village of Panmunjom, where there were frantic scenes as several hundred journalists and spectators jostled for a view of the historic scene.

    The delegation led by Tae-hee Kim were given bouquets by the South Korean high school girls and both delegates shook hands each other with a friendly greeting.

    Chief Northern delegate Mr. Kim, vice chairman of the North Korean Red Cross Central Committee, said on arrival at Panmunjom, "We are most delighted and moved as we set our feet on southern soil After 22 years of tragic division."
    His southern counterpart Dum-suk Lee replied that he and Mr. Kim would work "with all sincerity and preface Red Cross Spirit" towards the success of their endeavour.

    As a motorcade the northern delegation went down the route through the crowded roadside with the about half of million citizens towards Seoul to attend the second round meeting opening at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (13th) morning at Chosun Hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the northerners five-day visit Seoul will be taken up by observation tours.
