    KENNETH KAUNDA, PRIME MINISTER OF NORTHERN RHODESIA, HAS PAID A THREE-DAY VISIT TO THE COPPERBELT. AT BWANA MKUBWA, OUTSIDE NOOLA, HE SPOKE TO THE AFRICANS AT THE MOBILE POLICE UNIT CAMP. LATER HE ATTENDED A MASS RALLY OF SUPPORTERS AT KITWE.

    AT BWANA MKUBWA HE TOLD THE UNIT THAT RUMOURS OF IT BEING DISBANDED WERE FALSE. ON THE CONTRARY, HE SAID, THEIR NUMBERS WOULD INCREASED. MR. KAUNDA'S MESSAGE TO THEM... "ZAMBIA IS PROUD OF YOU ... AND YOU MUST OBEY THE ORDERS OF THE EUROPEAN OFFICERS."
    HIS RALLY AT KITWE ATTRACTED THOUSANDS. THE PRIME MINISTER'S ADDRESS INCLUDED HIS THANKS TO SUPPORTERS FOR KEEPING THE PEACE DURING THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN. HE ALSO CALLED UPON THEM TO WORK "HARDER THAN EVER BEFORE".
