Background: On the North Circular Road, one of the busiest thoroughfares in London stands the Fox & Goose. It lies in the old parish of WEST TWYFORD whose old church "St Mary's (dated 1603) is being rebuilt. Mine host of the Fox & Goose", MR GEORGE STINTON, has cooperated with the vicar REV JE LEEMAN to hold a harvest festival in the louge of the pub where the local people would bring along produce for the festival The profits of the takings during the day would be given to the church along with the proceeds of the produce The lounge was transformed into a church, the barmen became ?men, & mine host Mr Stinton read the lesson a modern setting for the old world festival.
