Background: One of the stars of American drag-racing is Joyce Goodburn. Joyce belies the saying that drag-racing is a young man's port -- he is seventy-two years old. He has the reflexes of a young man. In his fuel-injected racer he can cover a hundred yards (metres) in four second from a standing start, yet he waited until he was sixty-six before beginning his racing career.
