    FLOWN THERE BY HELICOPTER THE AUSTRALIAN MINISTER WAS SHOWN HOW AUSTRALIAN AID HAS BEEN USED IN FORTIFYING THE VILLAGE FOR PROTECTION AGAINST THE VIETCONG. ARMED TROOPS KEPT A CLOSE LOOK OUT FOR VIETCONG SNIPERS DURING THE VISIT BUT THERE WERE NO INCIDENTS.

    THE AUSTRALIAN FOREIGN MINISTER WAS ACCOMPANIED BY THE AUSTRALIAN AMBASSADOR TO SOUTH VIETNAM, MR. HAROLD ANDERSON.
