  • Description

Roman Catholics from Monaco began their annual pilgrimage to Laghet in France -- a small picturesque town north of Nice -- last Sunday (13 October). Laghet is particularly sacred to Catholics the world over for the miracles which have taken place there after prayers to Our Lady of Laghet.

Tradition has it that over six thousand miracles and cures have occurred since the first recorded miracle in 1652.

Two hundred thousand pilgrims from many countries visit Laghet each year. They are comforted by the atmosphere of simple faith which fills the little town. Simplicity and humbleness have been the keynotes of faith in Laghet for centuries. There have never been any miraculous apparitions.

Laghet is also famous for its Chapel, which has been classified as an historical monument and recently restored.
