    Multicoloured buntings and streamers wave in the breeze with the Union Jack and the British Honduras flag as the colony hurries to complete the elaborate preparations for Princess Margaret's visit.

    Belize, the main city, is filled with scurrying workmen who have already finished the ceremonial archway leading into the town. All day long hammering sounds blot out all other noises as every square inch of space is covered with either the Union Jack or the British Honduras flag. The smell of fresh paint adds a poignant odour to the usual street smells and gradually at first and more frantically as the appointed day draws nearer the face of Belize is changing.

    The launch 'Patricia', which will take Princess Margaret to Sergeant's Key on Sunday 4th. May--the second day of her British Honduras visit --- has had its final scrub and polish and now sparkles in the sun as it bobs about in the bay.

    When she arrives, the Princess will be met at Airfield by the British Honduras Governor and then driven to Belite to be greeted by the President and Members of the City Council. On Saturday, 3rd. May, she will view a parade of school children at the Newtown Barracks. Later that day Princess Margaret will visit the T.B. Sanatorium of Belize Hospital. As guest of honour of the British Honduras Volunteer Guard she lunch at Militia Hall. On Tuesday, 6th. May, she will leave the colony for Nassau in the Bahamas.
