    The new pakistani army Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Gul Hasan Khan, continued his morale-boasting "meet the troops" programme an the western front last Thursday.

    General Khan was made Commander-in-Chief by President Bhutte after the military defeat and surrender to India.

    General Khan told the troops the they could not afford to relax their vigilance, for the threat of the enemy could net be ignored. He said he hoped the army could be for like and big family.

    The Commander-in-Chief spent the whole day visiting the forward defensive positions, which stretch nearly seventy miles from Wegha down to Hussainiwala and Suleman.
