    PROGRAMME ENTRIES FROM 25 TELEVISION ORGANISATIONS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. THE JURY'S PRESIDENT, MR. KENNETH ADAM OF BRITAIN, SAID THE FINNISH ENTRY HAD WON BY AN ABSOLUTE MAJORITY. IT HAD "DISTINGUISHED ITSELF BY ITS ORIGINALITY, PERFECT BLEND OF FRESHNESS AND SPONTANEITY, AS WELL AS BY ITS POETRY IN BOTH PICTURE AND SOUND."
    THE CANADIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION WON SECOND PRIZE - AND SILVER ROSE - WITH A SAMPLE OF THE WEEKLY VARIETY SERIES, - THE WAYNE AND SHUSTER HOUR - FEATURING CANADIAN COMEDIANS JOHNNY WAYNE AND FRANK SHUSTER.

    THIRD PRIZE, THE BRONZE ROSE, WAS AWARDED TO A FRENCH PROGRAMME WITH SINGER YVES MONTAND, CALLED - HAPPY NEW YVES.

    A CZECHOSLOVAK PARODY OF AN AMERICAN WESTERN, ENTITLED - SANDY - WAS VOTED FUNNIEST TELEVISION SHOW OF THE YEAR.
