Background: This year's Sovereign's (passing-out) Parade at Sandhurst Royal Military Academy took place on Thursday (29th July), and was reviewed, on behalf of Queen Elizabeth, by King Olav of Norway. The Parade was commanded by the Adjutant....Major David Fanshawe of the Grenadier Guards....and was attended by several hundred parents and guests of the 552 parading cadets. 168 cadets received their commissions during the parade. The Parade also included 20 officer cadets from other countries....among them Prince Hamed Khalifa of Qatar, whose father, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad the Deputy-Ruler and Prime Minister of Qatar, was present at the ceremony. This coverage filmed by VISNEWS Senior Cameraman Bill McConville has good natural sound of the Parade and its associated military music.
