Background: The session of the People's Assembly of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania ended its proceedings.
As at all other sittings of this Assembly, at the final sitting too, held on the 16th of January in Tirana, the deputies and guests at the session received the entrance into the hall of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, comrade Enver Hoxha and other Party and State leaders with applause.
During the proceedings of this session all the deputies unanimously endorsed the composition and program of the Government presented by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, comrade Adil Carcani.
At the final session, which you can see in the film, contributions continued on the report of the Council of Ministers "On the Draft 7th Five-year Plan of the Development of the Economy and Culture of the PSR of Albania for the years 1981-1985 as well as on the Draft Plan and Draft Budget of the State for 1982", delivered by the Chairman of the State Planning Commission Petro Dode.
Contributions were also made by deputies of different zones, representatives of the working class, peasantry, intelligentia, army etc. In their contributions the deputies approved the draft plans and draft laws submitted to the Assembly for endorsement.
The 7th Five-year plan 1981-1985 is greater than any other plan, but by bringing the opinion of the electorates which they represent to the Assembly, the deputies expressed the real, economic, financial and man-power possibilities which exist in Albania for the fulfillment of this plan.
The plans which were endorsed by the Assembly are based on the political line and directives approved by the 8th Congress of the Party and in the report which comrade Enver Hoxha submitted to this Congress.
