    DELEGATES TO THE 10-DAY SEMINAR WILL DISCUSS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL MEASURES TO COMBAT RACIAL PREJUDICE AND WILL REVIEW IN DEPTH THE ORIGINS AND CONSEQUENCES OF COLOUR AND RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.

    COUNTRIES TAKING PART ARE AFGHANISTAN, BELGIUM, BRITAIN, CANADA, CEYLON, CZECHOSLOVAKIA, FRANCE, GUYANA, IRAN, IVORY COAST, KENYA, MALAYSIA, MALTA, MEXICO, NORWAY, INDIA, PERU, SIERRA LEONE, SUDAN, TURKEY, TANZANIA, UNITED STATES AND YUGOSLAVIA.

    THE SOVIET UNION WERE ALSO SCHEDULED TO ATTEND THE MEETING BUT THEIR DELEGATES WERE NOT PRESENT FOR THE OPENING SESSION YESTERDAY AT VIGYAN BHAVAN.

    GUEST SPEAKER AT THE SESSION WAS THE INDIAN MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS, M. B.R. BHAGAT.
