    The first Datsun Double Wicket International cricket competition being held in Johannesburg this week is being hailed by many cricket fans as a major breakthrough for multi-racial international cricket.

    Two man teams from Australia, England, South Africa, Israel, New Zealand Pakistan, Rhodesia, West Indies are taking part in the three day competition. The teams are divided into two groups with each team playing each other team in their group and the winners of each group playing off for the final winner. The outfields are provided by the host country.

    On Friday, the second day of play, New Zealanders Glenn Turner and Bevan Condon turned in the top score of the day with sixty-nine. They beat South Africa's Eddie Barlow and Barry Richards who scored only fourteen.
