TWO THOUSAND STUDENTS FROM THE PRETORIA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION MARCHED THROUGH PRETORIA YESTERDAY (TUESDAY) IN A DEMONSTRATION SUPPORTING RHODESIA'S UNILATERAL DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. IN CHURCH SQUARE, MR. K.D.L. CHALMERS - FIRST SECRETARY OF THE RHODESIAN DIPLOMATIC MISSION - TOLD THE STUDENTS THAT THE SYMPATHY AND MORAL SUPPORT OF SOUTH AFRICA WAS AS IMPORTANT TO RHODESIANS AS ECONOMIC HELP.

TRANSPORT IN THE CENTRE OF THE CITY WAS BROUGHT TO A HALT AS THE STUDENTS MARCHED THROUGH SINGING AND CHANTING SLOGANS.
