"Well... as I have said, of course, we discussed the question of... about the continued Israeli occupation of Arab lands and aggression against the people of Palestine and Arab countries. Then, of course, the moral support that we'll get throughout the world and from about two thirds of humanity at least - as you know. But, um.....I say, of course, there is a great difference between the conscience of the world as represented by these people - I say the people of the world - and the power. I don't think the people I visited are responsible for the existence of this situation or that they are the people to be called upon to put an end to it."

Background: The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Dr. Hassan El-Zayyat, returned to Cairo on Monday (2 April) from a six-nation tour. He was greeted at the airport by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Hassan Bulbul, ambassadors and foreign dignitaries.
Dr. Zayyat visited India, The People's Republic of China, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Syria as part of a wide-ranging diplomatic offensive to gain support for Egypt's position in the Middle East.
