    World football champions Brazil beat Algeria two-nil on Sunday night to win the first of the nine matches they will play in type next five weeks to prepare for next year's World Cup.

    Playing under floodlights in Algiers' year-old 'July 5th' olympic stadium, they had no difficulty in beating the less-experienced home side.
