A seagoing showcase of Yugoslavian industry and culture sailed into Abidjan this week. On Tuesday (January 12), the Ivory Coast Minister of State Auguste Denise visited Abidjan docks to officially open a floating Yugoslavian trade exhibition there.
The exhibition has been mounted aboard the merchant vessel Liburnija. The idea behind the exhibition is to foster and reinforce economic links between Yugoslavian and Africa.
The Liburnija set sail last November. Staffed by representatives of leading Yugoslavian enterprises, the floating exhibition will visit 19 African countries, together with Malta, before sailing for home on March 25.
The ship is moored at Abidjan until 16. During the period of its visit, Ivorians will be able to examine and get expert advice on exhibits ranging from textiles to television sets, from microscopes to motor-boats.
