    Beter Post of Holland and Klaus Bugdahl of West Germany yesterday (Thursday) won West Berlin's 60th six-day cycle race on a points advantage ahead of two other teams in the same lap.

    Second were Eddy Merckx and Patrick Sercu of Belgium with 465 points, 12 fewer than the winners, and third was the German team of Horst Oldenburg and Dieter Kemper with 422 ???.

    A total of 2,563 kilometres (1,611 miles) were covered by the leading team in the 145-hour race which began last Friday (6 Oct).

    Former German world champion Rudi Altig gave up the race four hours before the end, when lying in fourth position with teammate Sigi Renz. Altig had bad sitting trouble and suffer great pain.

    He was the only cyclist to drop out during the whale race.
