  • Description

Frankfurt, West Germany, Jan. 13, was the scene of a further demonstration against the wave of international anti-Jewish incidents.

Students of Frankfurt university, and members of youth organisations, marched with burning torchlights to the plaque commemorating a synagogue destroyed by the Nazi's in November 1938. A religious service was held, and flowers were laid at the site in sympathy with the Jewish cause.

In West Berlin last week-end, another protest - against neo-Nazi and anti-Jewish incidents - received official support from West German Chancellor, Dr. Adenauer, and leader of the Opposition, Herr Ollenhauer.

Several leading Jewish or Jewish-controlled firms in Britain have denied they are making reprisals against German employees or goods because of anti-Semitic incidents in West Germany. Earlier, the German Embassy in London issued statements referring to dismissals of German staff by some unnamed Jewish firms.
