    Due to enter service with the Royal Air Force in 1969, the Phantom F.4M is a supersonic strike aircraft with interceptor capability, and already holder of fifteen speed and climb world records. The RAF version of this McDonnell aircraft is powered by two Rolls Royce Spey engines, giving a speed range of 150 to 1,600 mph. In its strike role, the Phantom can carry some ten tons of weapons.
