    Gales of up to 80 mph swept across the central States of America this week stripping off roofs, tearing down telephone wire, wrecking grounded aircraft and injuring many people. Fort Worth in Texas, -- U.S. Government's gold cache -- was badly hit on November 17. Schools, houses and other buildings were severely damaged.

    The wind tore northwards and north west. In Arizona seventeen people are missing after blizzards hit the State in the train of the tornado. Missouri was drenched by ensuing rains, which were up to 11 inches in parts.

    Latest reports state that a ship is missing in the Great Lakes after the tornado struck.
