    President Moktar Ould Daddah of Mauritania visited President Mobutu of the Congo Democratic Republic this month, and was shown the latest satellite ground station of the world -- in Nsele. Among the subjects of discussion between the two leaders was the possibility of a dialogue with South Africa.

    President Daddah, the Chairman of the Organisation of African Unity, is visiting several member countries in this capacity.

    SYNOPSIS: President Moktar Ould Daddah of Mauritania arrived in the Congo Democratic Republic earlier this month on a two-day visit. He came in his capacity as Chairman of the Organization of African Unity, and was met by President Mobutu.

    The discussions between the two Presidents centred around the resolution of the O.A.U. Addis Ababa summit on the Middle East crisis, and on the position to take in case of dialogue with South Africa.

    During his visit, President Daddah was taken to Nsele, where the world's latest satellite ground station is build. There, the visitors were shown pictures from mission control in Houston, USA, which controlled the Apollo 15 moon shot.

    On his departure President Daddah complimented President Mobutu on the progress his country had made under his rule.
