    Egypt and Yugoslavia have discussed the possibility of a conference of non-aligned Mediterranean countries opposed to military pacts and blocs. Such a conference was discussed at talks in Cairo on Tuesday (18 April) between the Yugoslav Foreign Minister, Mirko Tepavac, and his Egyptian counterpart, Murad Ghaleb.

    Earlier the Yugoslav Foreign Minister and his delegation met with President Anwar Sadat. Mr. Tepavac arrived in Egypt on Monday (17 April) for a four-day visit.

    SYNOPSIS: Egypt's President Anwar Sadat greeted a delegation from Yugoslavia in Cairo on Tuesday. The Yugoslav delegation, which arrived in Egypt on Monday for a four-day visit, was led by the Yugoslav Foreign Minister, Mirko Tepavac.

    Talks between the two men were believed to centre on the Middle East situation. Later, Mr. Tepavac held separate talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Murad Ghaleb. The two men discussed the possibility of a conference of non-aligned Mediterranean countries that are opposed to military pacts and regional blocks. During his stay in Cairo, the Yugoslav Foreign Minister delivered a personal message from President Tito to President Sadat.
